FDR's Car

Car.jpg

FDR takes a drive through the woods of his Springwood estate.

One of the qualities FDR enjoyed most about his country estate was its expansive woods and isolation from the chaos of his political position. Despite his paralysis FDR refused to let his polio control him. He had his Model A Ford Roadster car specially customized so he could drive it with his hands instead of his feet.
