Franklin and Eleanor

Franklin and Eleanor married in 1905 and had six children together, five of whom lived to adulthood. Although their romantic relationship fizzled after Eleanor discovered FDR's infidelity, the two never divorced and remained political partners. This modified relationship allowed Eleanor the freedom to pursue her own interests, including her move out of the Springwood home and into Val-Kill, her own personal estate within the Hyde Park property.
