On April 12, 1945, FDR passed away at his resort in Warm Springs, Georgia. Despite others' arguments, he made it clear early on that he wished to be bured in the Rose Garden on his beloved estate. His funeral attracted hundreds of mourners who wished to say goodbye to their fallen leader.
